HYDRO CLEAN FAQ
Q: Will I need to bring my RV to you for servicing of my Holding Tanks?
A: No. HYDRO CLEAN will come to your site with our mobile service unit.
Q: Do I need to be connected to a sewage drain for HYDRO CLEAN to service my Holding Tanks:
A: Yes. You NEED to be connected to an approved sewage drain/dump, and have a fresh water supply tap available for HYDRO CLEAN to service your unit.
Q: Can HYDRO CLEAN service my RV while I'm dry camping?
A: No. HYDRO CLEAN needs to be able to completely and safely remove/drain the waste materials that are causing your Holding Tank problems. This is only possible with your RV connected to an approved sewage-drain system. Plus, HYDRO CLEAN needs a supply of fresh tap water to service your tanks. Neither of these are possible while dry camping.
Q: Will I need to leave my RV while HYDRO CLEAN is servicing my Holding Tanks?
A: No. We will not service your RV Holding Tanks without you being present. Plus, if you have any questions, face to face is the best time to get answers.
Q: What would cause odor problems in my Holding Tanks?
A: Generally, odor problems will arise when Holding Tanks form a buildup (sludge layers) of whatever the tank is holding. RV owners will attempt to remove this buildup of sludge with the next best chemical that is being sold, but this doesn't always solve the problem they're trying to fix. Chemicals can only do so much. They're not the fix-all remedy. You need to get rid of the buildup of sludge that is lining your Holding Tanks. Do that, and you'll get rid of the odor. Chemicals are only a band-aid fix.
Q: Why am I getting errors, and misreading’s on my Holding Tanks sensors?
A: Misreading problems on Holding Tanks are usually caused by a buildup of whatever (sludge, solids, soaps, grease, toilet paper etc.) that is lining your tanks. The simple answer is "Dirty Tanks." HYDRO CLEAN will blast away that sludge buildup with its Hydro-Jet Cleaning System.
Q: Are pre-owned or rented RV's sold (or rented) with cleaned and sanitized Holding Tanks?
A: There is no guarantee that your pre-owned, or rented RV's Holding Tanks were professionally cleaned and sanitized prior to making your purchase. This is something we recommend every RV and Travel Trailer buyer ask the RV sales or rental center. Many times RV's are sold with tanks that have been rinsed out with slick hose gadget attachments, and fresh smelly chemicals applied. Garden hose tap pressure varies greatly but is generally no more than 75 psi. There is NOT enough jetting power behind those garden hose gadgets to fully clean and remove the sludgy impacted waste matter. You just might be buying someone else's nasty "you know what" lining your Holding Tanks. We strongly feel that this is an unhealthy situation. HYDRO CLEAN can clean and sanitize your Holding Tanks (with Hydro-Jetting pressures around 3,000 to 4,000 psi.), and give you peace of mind, knowing that you can start out with Holding Tanks that are clean and fresh right from the start.
Q: What is the recommended continuing maintenance routine for keeping my Holding Tanks clean, healthy, and fully operational?
A: HYDRO CLEAN recommends that your Holding Tanks have a regular maintenance schedule, much the same as you would maintain your oil and filter changes, and all of the other routine maintenance items that keep your RV and Travel Trailer operating at its best. HYDRO CLEAN recommends a thorough Hydro-Jet Cleaning of your Holding Tanks at least once per year, depending upon how you use your RV. If you are like some folks that use your RV seasonally, and put your RV away for long-term periods, we think prior to long-term storage is the best time to perform your annual complete cleaning of your Holding Tanks.
Q: How long does the HYDRO CLEAN "Hydro-Jet Cleaning Process" take?
A: HYDRO CLEAN will clean and sanitize your Holding Tanks, and the process is generally completed within 60-90 minutes, depending on the condition of your tanks, and whether you have a plugged up toilet or drain system.
Q: Can HYDRO CLEAN just come and unplug my toilet only?
A: No. We know from experience that the cause of a plugged toilet is a sign of deeper problems. Sometimes it's a symptom of a lax in maintenance. Other times its cause is due to a short-term issue, such as improper use of the Holding Tanks. Many times it's because the RV owner has been allowing their Holding Tanks to become dry, due to leaving the black water drain valve open full-time. There should always be some water in your black water Holding Tank to allow the solids to flush away.
HYDRO CLEAN does NOT cut corners. Our mobile unit will come to your site and clear your plugged toilet or drain, and once the plugged toilet or drains have been cleared, we will finish the process with a full Hydro-Jet cleaning of the interior of all of your holding tanks. We will never just unplug your toilet or tanks. Unplugging is considered a separate service, but when combined with our full service the unplugging service is a small additional fee. HYDRO CLEAN will only perform a full cleaning and sanitizing service when called.
